According to EToday, the Financial Services Commission of South Korea has approved the 2026 recovery and disposal plans for the five major financial groups—Shinhan, KB, Hana, Woori, and NongHyup—and 10 affiliated financial institutions. The commission has incorporated risks of cyber attacks and digital bank runs into the crisis management system for large financial institutions, and has required financial institutions to improve monitoring indicators, strengthen cybersecurity response mechanisms, and consider scenarios in which multiple institutions simultaneously sell off assets in their contingency plans.
