E*TRADE under Morgan Stanley launches spot cryptocurrency trading
Odaily reported that the online investment platform E*TRADE, under Morgan Stanley, has launched its cryptocurrency spot trading feature. Eligible clients can now buy, sell, and hold Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL) directly through the E*TRADE platform.
This crypto trading service is supported technically by the digital asset infrastructure provider zerohash. Users can trade via their linked zerohash accounts and view both digital assets and traditional investment portfolios within the E*TRADE platform.
E*TRADE stated that the fee for spot crypto trading is set at 50 basis points (50 bps), and the asset transfer feature is expected to be launched later this year.
This launch marks a further step in Morgan Stanley’s digital asset strategic layout. Previously, E*TRADE has continuously upgraded its investment service system, including the introduction of retirement planning tools, fractional share trading, IPO center upgrades, and feature enhancements to Power E*TRADE Pro for active traders.
