Nikkei 225 Index plunges up to 4%, with chip stocks being the hardest hit
Gelonghui, July 17|Japan's Nikkei 225 Index once fell by 4.1%, with Kioxia leading the tech stocks down sharply. Kioxia's share price plunged as much as 16%, and the market value of this memory chip manufacturer has shrunk by half compared to its June peak.
