CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar strengthens, benchmark yield climbs
Reuters2026/07/17 13:00The Canadian dollar strengthened against the greenback on Friday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed.
The loonie CAD= was trading 0.1% higher at C$1.4024 to the greenback, or 71.31 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.4021 to 1.4047.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR rose 0.2 basis points to 3.533%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.5334%.
U.S. August crude CLc1 futures rose $1.9 to $80.85 a barrel on Friday.
