US stocks open broadly lower; Apple’s market value surpasses Nvidia, semiconductor index approaches a technical bear market
According to BlockBeats, on July 17, the US stock market opened with the Dow Jones down 0.24%, the S&P 500 index down 1.15%, and the Nasdaq down 1.8%. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell over 3%, nearing a technical bear market.
According to BIT (an exchange) market data, for individual stocks, Nvidia dropped 2.2%, Qualcomm fell 3%, Intel declined 3.5%, Microsoft was down 1%, and SpaceX dropped 3%. As a result, Apple has surpassed Nvidia to become the world's most valuable company by market capitalization.
