Project Eleven launches Bitcoin Quantum Vulnerability Coin Recovery Tool, prototype yet to be audited

According to Odaily, Project Eleven has launched a new zero-knowledge proof system that offers a recovery solution for the quantum-vulnerable Bitcoin proposed for freezing under BIP-361, including the Bitcoin held by Satoshi Nakamoto.

This solution leverages the property that quantum computers can break elliptic curve signatures but cannot break the one-way hashes used in modern wallet key derivation, allowing genuine owners with seed materials to prove their control.

Benchmark tests indicate that the Project Eleven prototype is significantly faster than previous solutions, but this prototype remains unaudited and incomplete. Additionally, to protect existing Bitcoin on-chain, controversial modifications to blockchain rules would be required.
