MoneyGram utilizes blockchain infrastructure to modernize cross-border payments

Odaily reported that MoneyGram CEO Anthony Soohoo stated the company's blockchain strategy focuses on modernizing cross-border payments, making remittances faster, cheaper, and more transparent through blockchain infrastructure, while allowing customers to avoid perceiving the underlying technology.

Stellar remains MoneyGram's core blockchain partner. MoneyGram is expanding its blockchain presence by acting as validators on Solana and Tempo, and views the MGUSD stablecoin as a way to build more financial products within its ecosystem.
