CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar weakens, benchmark yield slips
Reuters2026/07/21 13:00The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Tuesday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped.
The loonie CAD= was trading 0.1% lower at C$1.4075 to the greenback, or 71.05 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.4055 to 1.4085.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR fell 1.8 basis points to 3.547%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 4.6018%.
U.S. August crude CLc1 futures rose $1.67 to $84.9 a barrel on Tuesday.
