Kalshi applies to launch perpetual futures contracts for gold, silver, and platinum; CFTC to decide within 45 days

(1) The US prediction market platform Kalshi has submitted an application to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), planning to launch perpetual futures contracts linked to gold, silver, and platinum, in order to further expand its precious metals trading business.
(2) According to the approval process, the CFTC will decide within 45 days whether to approve the product.
(3) The company's Chief Risk Officer stated that the initial contracts will operate according to the trading hours of the underlying market (five days a week, 24 hours a day), and in the future, the company will assess whether to further extend the trading hours as needed.
