Nvidia unveils next-generation AI-focused Vera CPU, challenging AMD and Intel

Now, NVIDIA has started selling its AI-focused central processing unit (CPU) — Vera — and has released new information for potential customers to comprehensively evaluate the chip.
NVIDIA has released new details about its data center CPU Vera, including technical specifications as well as benchmarking and architectural information needed for comprehensive client evaluation. According to NVIDIA representatives, the Vera chip was delivered to customers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and SpaceX in June. By entering the CPU market, NVIDIA is opening a new front to compete with AMD and Intel in the AI server arena.
