Zhitong Finance reports that on Tuesday, Halliburton (HAL.US) fell nearly 6%, closing at $33.07. According to the news, financial results show that Halliburton, the world’s largest hydraulic fracturing service provider, posted Q2 revenue of $5.71 billion, up 3.7% year-on-year and better than market expectations. Adjusted earnings per share were $0.55, also exceeding expectations. However, adjusted operating profit was $683 million, down 6.1% year-on-year and below analysts’ average forecast of $688.7 million. In the July 21 conference call, the company projected that third-quarter drilling and evaluation business revenue would decline 3% to 5% quarter-on-quarter, while completion and production business revenue would remain flat to decline by 2% quarter-on-quarter, indicating overall weak revenue guidance.
