According to Taiwan media outlet Industrial & Commercial Times, Wistron announced the opening of its D1 AI Smart Factory in Fort Worth, Texas on the 21st Central Time in the US. The factory, with an investment of nearly 700 million USD and an area of approximately 324,000 square feet, serves as a key base in the global AI infrastructure manufacturing network and produced the first NVIDIA GB300 computing substrate in the US, which has already achieved successful mass production. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang also attended the unveiling ceremony. In an interview, Huang stated that AI demand is strong and NVIDIA's business doubles each year; as a result, further expansion of AI factories is necessary to boost production. Wistron Chairman Lin Hsien-ming also revealed that, aside from the D1 plant, Wistron will build a D2 factory, which will be twice the size, and may even consider establishing D3 and D4 factories in the future.
