Jin Guanghui, July 23 — Uber Technologies announced that, as part of its overall strategy to streamline personnel structure and fully embrace artificial intelligence, the company has cut 10% of positions in its customer service operations. A spokesperson for Uber revealed via email that the company announced layoffs in its community operations team on Wednesday, stating that the adjustment aims to “simplify operational processes, strengthen on-site collaboration, and continue advancing the implementation of artificial intelligence.” The spokesperson added that, in line with the company’s return-to-office policy, former remote employees of the team are now required to fulfill their roles at on-site central offices.
