AstraZeneca (AZN.US) blockbuster breast cancer drug approved for market launch in the European Union

Smart Finance APP has learned that on July 23, AstraZeneca (AZN.US) announced that its Etcamah (camizestrant) in combination with cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK)4/6 inhibitors (palbociclib, ribociclib, or abemaciclib) has been approved in the European Union for the treatment of adult patients with estrogen receptor (ER)-positive, HER2-negative locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer, provided that an ESR1 mutation is detected and the patient has not experienced disease progression during first-line endocrine therapy combined with a CDK4/6 inhibitor.
