According to Zhitong Finance APP, due to the sustained high fuel prices caused by the Middle East war, American Airlines (AAL.US) has lowered its 2026 earnings guidance for the second time this year. This further hinders the airline's efforts to narrow the performance gap with its two major competitors. As of press time, American Airlines shares fell more than 4% in pre-market trading on Thursday.
