BlockBeats News, July 23rd: Last Friday, Musk issued a warning on the X platform, stating, "The likelihood of survival for institutions maintaining a significant short position on SpaceX for a long time is very low." However, the short sellers did not retreat. According to an exchange data, since SpaceX's mid-June debut, investors shorting the stock have accumulated approximately $15.5 billion in mark-to-market profits. According to an exchange market data, SpaceX's stock price today hit a historical low of $110.85, well below the $135 IPO price, almost halving from the post-listing high of $225.64.

Ortex co-founder Peter Hillerberg stated, "There is no sign that shorts are closing their profitable positions—if anything, they are doubling down." As of Tuesday, around 360 million shares of SpaceX stock (approximately 56% of the free float) have been borrowed for short selling, with short positions highly concentrated.
