The US CFTC extends the comment period for 24/7 futures trading and perpetual contracts on energy commodities until August 26.

According to the US CFTC, the deadline for public comments on 24/7 round-the-clock trading in the futures markets and perpetual contracts for energy commodities has been extended by 30 days to August 26. Based on industry feedback and newly added questions, the CFTC is assessing related topics, including extending standard futures to 24/7 trading while keeping fixed expiry dates unchanged, as well as perpetual contracts based on storable or physically settled energy commodities.
