According to a report released by BIT Official, the total outstanding public debt of the U.S. federal government is approaching 4 trillion USD. The market is concerned that Japan may reduce its holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds to support the yen, and that China is diversifying its foreign exchange reserves and reducing its allocation to U.S. Treasuries while increasing its gold reserves. The rise in U.S. Treasury yields reflects market concerns about Japan and China reducing their holdings of U.S. Treasuries.
