Treasury to announce details of the next BOT auction, ahead of the July 29 semi-annual BOT sale.

The financial conglomerate, whose cash-and-share offer to buy former phone monopoly Telecom Italia TLIT.MI started on Monday, said it would present early next year a strategic plan for the combined entity.

It reported an adjusted operating profit of €868 million for the second quarter, little changed from a year earlier and above an €841 million forecast in an analyst consensus compiled by the company.

The group will hold a conference call at 0900 GMT.

The Italian government has established a €120 million fund for the 2028–2030 period under the Competition Bill approved on Thursday to support fuel-station operators that convert their sites into electric-vehicle charging hubs or biofuel production facilities, the Environment Ministry said in a statement. The scheme offers grants of up to €60,000 per operator, covering up to 50% of eligible conversion costs, it added.

The Franco-Italian chipmaker will invest about €2.4 billion in the Sicilian city of Catania between 2026 and 2028 to expand its 8-inch silicon carbide capacity and €1.4 billion in Agrate Brianza, where it aims to raise output to 8,000 wafers per week by end-2027, CEO Jean-Marc Chery told daily La Repubblica in an interview published on Friday.

Yachtmaker Azimut Benetti has already signed an NDA and is reviewing data on The Italian Sea Group as it considers buying some assets from its struggling rival, daily La Repubblica reported on Friday, citing potential interest also from a German naval construction group and from Blackstone's Safe Harbour Marinas.

The Italian Sea Group is also working on a plan to create a yachting manufacturing hub in the Tuscan town of Carrara involving one or two players and potentially including Sanlorenzo SNL.MI, the report added. The hub would retain TISG's brands, the concession and the shipyard's management and would also be open to the group's suppliers, it said.

The engineering company said on Friday it would expand its aerospace & defence drone supply chain by acquiring CTMAVIO, a manufacturer of engines, aircraft and drones for €9 million.

Consultinvest, a financial advisory and asset management company, is considering an IPO on the Milan stock exchange, daily MF reported on Friday.
