Hashdex Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF approved to enable staking, executed through an exchange
According to Foresight News, Hashdex submitted an 8-K filing to the US SEC stating that the Hashdex Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF (Ticker: NCIQ) completed a trust agreement amendment on July 23, granting approval for the fund to conduct staking activities with its crypto assets. The initial staking service provider is the exchange Cloud. According to the staking income allocation plan, all net staking income up to 25 basis points (annualized) of the net asset value of the regular shares will belong to the Sponsor; for income exceeding this threshold, 40% will go to the Sponsor, and 60% to regular shareholders. The fund expects to commence staking activities once operationally ready.
