BofA Strategist: Market Ignoring Risk, AI Investment Backlash Looms
BlockBeats News, July 24th, Sebastian Raedler, European Equity Strategy Director at Bank of America (BofA), recently issued a stark warning: The current stock market pricing logic is entirely based on the assumption that "everything is perfect." This extreme optimism has not only pushed market valuations to high levels but has also left investors' risk exposure completely unprotected.
Raedler pointed out that the market's expectations for key indicators such as profit margins and five-year forward earnings growth have reached historical highs. In stark contrast, the "risk premium" that measures market risk aversion has fallen to a 20-year low.
Raedler suggested that investors should decisively withdraw from overvalued, logically fragile cyclical sectors and instead look for those "high-quality defensive stocks" that have been overlooked by the market for a long time. He specifically mentioned the healthcare and consumer staples sectors.
