Foresight News reports that Bankr developer deployer tweeted that their Bankr X account was compromised, resulting in a hacker “opening an account” and leaking their real name. In the same tweet, deployer also announced Ethereum proposal EIP-2309, published under their signature (Sean Papanikolas). This proposal is an optional extension for ERC-721, standardizing the “ConsecutiveTransfer” event. It allows for efficient creation, transfer, or destruction of sequentially numbered NFTs in a single transaction, thus enhancing the scalability of batch operations.

According to RockeTreach data, before founding Bankr, Sean Papanikolas worked as a senior software engineer at Payward, the parent company of a certain exchange, from 2021 to 2022, and briefly served as a senior software engineer at OpenSea in 2023.
