Meritz Securities analyst Kim Sun-woo stated that, driven by one-time investment gains and rising semiconductor prices, SK Hynix is expected to announce record-breaking second quarter results. The analyst estimates that SK Hynix's pre-tax profit from April to June will exceed 10 trillion KRW, including 6.01 trillion KRW in operating profit and 4.16 trillion KRW in investment income obtained through shares in Japan's Kioxia held by U.S. private equity firm Bain Capital. This performance would surpass the company’s record of 5.88 trillion KRW operating profit set in the first quarter.
