Forvia will open a new India plant for complete seat assembly after winning a major seating program, lifting its footprint to 10 sites.
The facility will be its first in India dedicated to full seat manufacturing, covering structures, mechanisms, foam, covers, final assembly for first-row, second-row seats.
Start of production is scheduled for 2027; the program adds Cover Carving Technology to optimize seat geometry, expand rear cabin space.
