Jensen Huang Announces Formation of Open Security AI Alliance to Enhance Cyber Defense with Open Source Models
On July 27, Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, posted again on the X platform, stating that attackers have mastered cutting-edge AI, and that defenders need a 'cutting-edge AI ecosystem' composed of both open-source and closed-source advanced models, amplified by the global community to enhance defense capabilities. He mentioned that during the recent Hugging Face security incident, some closed-source AI hindered critical forensics, while open-weight advanced models played a role in mitigating intrusions. Therefore, he decided to promote the establishment of the Open Security AI Alliance. Previously, NVIDIA (NVDA.O) collaborated with Palantir, IBM, CrowdStrike, SpaceX, and Hugging Face to form the 'Open Security AI Alliance' aimed at strengthening the security of open-source AI.
