Dow Jones2026/07/27 20:26By Kelly Cloonan
TFI International logged higher profit and revenue in its latest quarter, driven by growth across each of its segments.
The Canadian transportation and logistics company on Monday posted a profit of $136.2 million, or $1.65 a share, compared with $98.2 million, or $1.17 a share, a year earlier.
Adjusted earnings per share were $1.85, topping estimates of $1.60 a share according to analysts polled by FactSet.
Revenue rose 12% to $2.29 billion, compared with analyst estimates of $2.23 billion.
The company's truckload and logistics businesses each recorded 13% sales growth, while its less-than-truckload division saw sales rise 12%.
Chief Executive Alain Bédard attributed the growth to strategic investments in recent years, which he said are beginning to drive results. He pointed to particularly strong results for TFI's truckload segment, which benefited in part from diversified industrial end markets, he said.
For the current quarter, the company expects adjusted earnings per share of $1.70 to $1.80, compared with analyst estimates of $1.66.
