U.S. stock indexes end mixed
On July 29, the three major U.S. stock indexes closed mixed, with the Dow up 1.03%, the S&P 500 up 0.22%, and the Nasdaq down 0.22%. The optical communication and storage sectors fell sharply, with SanDisk and Kioxia ADR down over 13%, Corning down over 12%, and Coherent down over 10%.
