Rocky Brands Shares Climb on 2Q Profit Boosted by Tariff Refunds

Shares of Rocky Brands climbed after the company reported a nearly fourfold increase in its profit, buoyed by tariff refunds.
Shares were up 17% to $49.97 in after-hours trading on Tuesday. The stock closed up 2.9% at $42.73, up 46% this year.
The footwear and apparel maker reported a profit of $13.9 million, or $1.83 a share, compared with a profit of $3.6 million, or 48 cents a share, a year earlier. The profit was boosted by refunds for tariffs the company paid under President Trump's sweeping global tariffs, Chief Executive Jason Brooks said.
"The significant year-over-year improvement in earnings reflects the positive impact from the actual and expected recovery of IEEPA tariffs recognized in the second quarter," he said. "These refunds more than offset the incremental costs incurred as a result of adjusting our initial manufacturing, sourcing, and shipping plans to meet customer demand."
Stripping out certain one time items, adjusted earnings were $1.90 a share.
Revenue rose to $118.4 million from $105.6 million a year prior.
"Our second-quarter performance was highlighted by 12% sales growth as demand further accelerated from the strong trends we experienced last year and early in 2026," Brooks said.
