South Korean financial regulator apologizes over leveraged ETF controversy, vows to restore market trust

Previously, some investors and market participants believed that these products intensified market volatility and led to significant losses in investor wealth. Lee Eok-won, Chairman of the Korea Financial Services Commission, expressed regret for the regulator's failure to meet public trust requirements in multiple areas. Lee Chan-jin, President of the Korea Financial Supervisory Service, stated that regulators are making every effort to restore market confidence.
