Video | Morgan Stanley Chief US Stock Strategist: US Stock Market Pullback Nearing End, S&P Targeting 8,000 by Year End
On July 27, Mike Wilson, Chief U.S. Equity Strategist at Morgan Stanley, stated in an interview with CNBC that recently tech stocks have experienced a phenomena of "good earnings but stock price decline." The core reason behind this is that the market had already priced in AI growth expectations in advance, and valuations are now retracting. He believes that the adjustment in cloud providers, semiconductor, and storage sectors has been quite sufficient, and the current market may be nearing the end of this round of correction. Although in the short term, it will continue to be volatile due to the impact of the Federal Reserve and geopolitical issues, he remains bullish on the U.S. stock market's performance for the whole year, and reiterated his year-end target of 8000 points for the S&P 500.
