格隆汇 July 30|The world's largest beer brewer saw its trading platform shares drop by 2.33% in pre-market trading. According to the published Q2 financial report, the group-level performance was not bad, but the continued weakness in the Chinese market has become a key shortfall that weighed down investor sentiment. The Q2 financial report shows that revenue increased by 5.6% year-on-year to $16.66 billion, surpassing the market expectation of $16.39 billion; earnings per share were $1.21, also higher than the expected $1.12. The Chinese subsidiary Budweiser APAC released its interim results on the same day, showing that sales in the Chinese market fell by 6% in the first half, and revenue dropped by 6.4%. In Q2 alone, the decline widened significantly — sales plunged by 9.7% year-on-year and revenue decreased by 8.6%.
