Glonghui, July 30 — Yum China released its financial results for the second quarter of 2026. This quarter, Yum China’s total revenue increased by 13% year-on-year to 3.1 billion USD; operating profit grew by 14% year-on-year to 348 million USD, reaching a new high for the second quarter; diluted earnings per share rose by 21% year-on-year. Operating profit margin improved by 20 basis points year-on-year to 11.1%. System sales increased by 6% year-on-year, continuing to outperform the restaurant industry; same-store sales grew by 1% year-on-year, achieving a sequential improvement; same-store transactions have now increased for the 14th consecutive quarter. The pace of expansion for both self-operated and franchised stores continued to accelerate, with a net addition of 560 stores this quarter—a record high for the second quarter. As of June 30, 2026, the total number of stores reached 19,297. Multiple innovative businesses, including COFFii & JOY, KPRO, "Car Pick-Up", and BISHENG BURGER, have rapidly scaled up, driving incremental sales and profit. In the first half of the year, the company has returned 718 million USD to shareholders, including 515 million USD in share buybacks and 203 million USD in cash dividends. For all of 2026, the company is steadily progressing toward the target of returning 1.5 billion USD to shareholders.
