SlowMist: Set Protocol attacked, with losses of approximately $9,600
Foresight News reports, according to SlowMist monitoring, the DeFi protocol Set Protocol experienced a security incident, resulting in a loss of approximately 9,600 USD. The root cause was that the ExchangeIssuance contract of Index Coop did not lock the SetToken status when processing issuance requests. Attackers used a malicious manager hook to artificially inflate asset valuations, causing the contract to transfer excessive assets to the attackers based on falsified data.
