According to The Defiant, the crypto credit card projects of Ready and Solflare have ceased operations due to the sudden collapse of card issuer Kulipa. Ready co-founder Itamar Lesuisse stated that Ready received no prior notice; eligible card subscriptions will be automatically refunded. Because the Ready wallet uses a self-custody model, user assets remain unaffected. The collapse of Kulipa has impacted card projects for approximately 20 crypto wallets and fintech companies. For the Ready and Solflare cards, payments were deducted directly from users’ wallets at the time of purchase, and Kulipa held no customer balances when it failed.
