Nikkei May Rise After U.S. Tech Stock Gains -- Market Talk
Dow Jones2026/07/30 23:422342 GMT - Japanese stocks may rise following U.S. technology stock gains overnight. Nikkei futures are up 3.3% at 63900 on the SGX. The dollar is at 160.12 yen, down sharply from Y163.60 as of Thursday's Tokyo stock market close. Investors are focusing on the Bank of Japan's rate decision due later Friday as well as developments in the Middle East. The Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.7% to 61867.43 on Thursday.
