- Whorms most recently served as director of energy delivery. He joined in 1996. He holds an electrical engineering degree from Florida International University.
- He will lead energy operations, covering planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure.
- Whorms replaces Stephen Jay, who held the vice president role for three years.
