European natural gas futures rise 35% in July

On Friday (July 31), late in the European session, ICE UK natural gas futures rose by 1.24%, quoted at 144.24 pence/therm, with a cumulative increase of 35.98% in July. Overall, prices continued to rise, reaching 157.560 pence at the beginning of the US trading session on July 24 and then fluctuating at high levels. TTF benchmark Dutch natural gas futures fell by 0.34%, quoted at 58.801 euros/megawatt hour, with a cumulative increase of 35.05% in July. ICE EU carbon emission trading permit (futures price) remained flat, quoted at 80.77 euros/ton, with a cumulative increase of 1.38% in July.
