Lantheus Holdings has agreed to be acquired by Curium, a fellow radiopharmaceutical company controlled by investment firm CapVest Partners, for an initial $6.7 billion.
Curium on Monday said it will pay $102.50 a share in cash for Lantheus, a 2.9% premium to Friday's closing price of $99.64 for the Bedford, Mass., company.
The deal, slated to close in the first half of 2027, includes contingent value rights tied to Lantheus' commercial portfolio that are worth up to an additional $12 a share, bringing the total potential value to $114.50 a share, Curium said.
CapVest, which has $20 billion in assets under management, established Curium in 2017 and remains its controlling shareholder after a recapitalization transaction last year that valued Curium at about $7 billion.
