Parsons Shares Rise After Winning Role on South Carolina Highway Project

Parsons shares rose after the engineering and infrastructure company said it was selected to lead design work for a highway interchange improvement project in South Carolina.
Shares were recently up 8% at $47.65.
Parsons said it will serve as lead designer on the about $227 million Interstate 526 Long Point Road Interchange Improvements project as part of the Ames Construction design-build team.
The company said its portion of the award, covering design services, represents about 10% of the total project value.
The project, commissioned by the South Carolina Department of Transportation, will modernize the Interstate 526 and Long Point Road interchange in the Charleston area, with the aim of improving safety, reducing congestion and enhancing freight access to the Wando Welch Terminal.
