GRVT faces user disappointment over TGE allocation unlock schedule
GRVT completed its token generation event on July 30, launching 1 billion GRVT tokens into the wild. The community response has been, let’s say, mixed.
The hybrid exchange allocated 28% of its total supply to community rewards and airdrops, up from an initial target of 22%. The catch is that those tokens are locked behind a 12-month vesting schedule that parcels out access in chunks, starting with 40% at TGE, then 20% increments at months four, eight, and twelve.
The unlock math
The initial unlock released roughly 11.43% of total tokens to users, translating to a circulating supply of approximately 114 million tokens. At current trading prices between $0.26 and $0.27, that puts the circulating market cap in the neighborhood of $30 million.
The next scheduled unlock is August 29, followed by another on November 29. Each of those events will release an additional 20% of airdrop allocations to eligible holders. In English: if you were allocated 10,000 GRVT, you got 4,000 at launch, and you’ll receive 2,000 more at each subsequent checkpoint over the next year.
GRVT also introduced claim multipliers that increased the weight of a user’s claim based on various engagement factors. The idea was to reward the most active participants with proportionally larger allocations.
What GRVT is building
GRVT operates as a hybrid platform that matches orders off-chain for speed but settles them on-chain for security. It’s built on ZKsync’s zero-knowledge proof infrastructure, which means it can offer privacy features that most decentralized exchanges cannot.
The project has raised over $14 million across funding rounds, including a $19 million Series A completed in 2025. Strategic exchange listings are expected to bring GRVT tokens to major trading venues, which could improve liquidity and price discovery beyond what the current circulating supply supports.
What this means for token holders
The next unlock on August 29 will introduce additional supply into a market that’s still finding its footing. The $0.26 to $0.27 price range at launch provides a baseline, but it’s worth noting that this level was established with only about 11% of total supply in circulation.
The multiplier system adds another variable. Users with higher multipliers received proportionally larger allocations, meaning the selling pressure from unlocks won’t be evenly distributed.
GRVT’s decision to increase the community allocation from 22% to 28% shows awareness that token distribution matters for long-term health. The next few months, particularly around those August and November unlock dates, will reveal whether the vesting structure built a foundation or just delayed the inevitable.

Tonight the Fed rate hike is almost certain; the market is closely watching Waller's remarks: will a signal of continued rate hikes be released?
What the market truly cares about is: the dot plot will reveal how many more rate hikes are expected this year, and whether Waller will send signals of ongoing tightening. Citi predicts this will be a “dovish hike”; Goldman Sachs bluntly states that this rate hike lacks sufficient economic basis; Standard Chartered believes the hike itself is a policy mistake. If there’s a signal of aggressive consecutive hikes, it could trigger market turmoil; the most dangerous tail risk is an unexpected pause, which could spark a credibility crisis and sharp equity sell-off.
