Thai Airways International's 3Q Outlook Likely Improving -- Market Talk
Dow Jones2026/08/05 05:290529 GMT - Thai Airways International's 3Q outlook is likely improving, UOB Kay Hian analysts say in a research report. Jet fuel prices dropped in June, allowing the airline to increase its hedging position. Hence, the current level of its hedging has been raised to 40% of the airline's total amount of fuel usage in 2H, the analysts note. Also, Thai Airways is beginning to see stronger flight demand and is unlikely to prioritize reducing flights like in 2Q, the analysts say. The brokerage upgrades the stock's rating to buy from hold and raises its target price to 6.80 baht from 6.20 baht to reflect a valuation roll-over. Shares are 2.75% higher at 5.60 baht.
