CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar strengthens, benchmark yield slips
Reuters2026/08/07 13:00The Canadian dollar strengthened against the greenback on Friday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped.
The loonie CAD= was trading 0.5% higher at C$1.3948 to the greenback, or 71.69 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3944 to 1.4029.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR fell 1.4 basis points to 3.612%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.619%.
U.S. September crude CLc1 futures fell 61 cents to $76.68 a barrel on Friday.
