Reuters2026/08/07 15:04- B2Gold received Mali’s Menankoto exploitation permit, clearing the way to develop the Fekola Regional project near the Fekola gold mine.
- Fekola Regional will be owned 65% by B2Gold, 35% by Mali; the existing Fekola mine remains 80%/20%.
- Mining pre-stripping starts next, alongside finalizing a tolling agreement; ramp-up is expected through end-2027.
- Output is forecast to exceed 150,000 ounces a year from 2028 through the mid-2030s, extending the Fekola Complex into the late 2030s.
- The permit was issued under Mali’s 2023 Mining Code; the Fekola mine stays under the 2012 Mining Code.
