Barrick Gold (B.US) shares plunge as $1.95 billion settlement criticized as “too low”

The agreement aims to resolve a dispute between the two companies regarding their Nevada gold mine joint venture, thereby paving the way for Barrick Gold to push for the listing of its North American mining assets in the United States. Newmont Mining, on the other hand, closed up 3.8%.
