Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on Wednesday, NVIDIA (NVDA.US) rose nearly 3% intraday to $223.73, reaching its highest level in two months, with a total market capitalization of $5.44 trillion. According to reports, NVIDIA is fully developing the open-source model Nemotron 4, which will have at least 1 trillion parameters, aiming to reduce its reliance on major clients such as OpenAI and cloud giants. NVIDIA’s goal is to bring the performance of the largest version of Nemotron 4 to the level of the world’s top open-source models. Multiple employees have revealed that the parameter count of this model is expected to reach at least 1 trillion—approximately double that of its current largest model, Nemotron 3 Ultra.
Analysts have pointed out that news of the development of Nemotron 4 also means NVIDIA is no longer content with being the world’s largest AI chip supplier but is launching direct competition as a top player in the open-source model sector.
