08:53 AM EDT, 08/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Healthcare stocks were higher premarket Friday, with the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) gaining by 0.4% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) advancing 0.1%. Cytokinetics (CYTK) shares were down more than 5%, extending the 1% loss in the previous session. The company said Friday that its drug aficamten has met both primary endpoints of a late-stage clinical trial treating a non-obstructive heart muscle disorder.
