Shiba Inu spot outflows increase, SHIB trades at $0.00000532 with pressure building

Shiba Inu (SHIB), one of the largest meme-based cryptocurrencies, is experiencing increased pressure, as recent spot-flow data shows that buyers are struggling to maintain momentum. The token is currently priced near $0.00000532 after failing to hold its recent recovery, with substantial net outflows dominating most short-term trading periods.

Spot-flow data highlights persistent outflows

During the past several trading intervals, SHIB’s spot market saw consistent net outflows. Over five minutes, SHIB recorded an outflow of $11,460. In the 15-minute and 30-minute periods, the deficits widened to about $29,970 and $89,170, respectively. The pattern persisted with an hourly outflow of $49,130.

For broader timeframes, SHIB continued to register negative flows: the token had a net outflow of $75,850 over four hours, and $50,970 over eight hours. Only the 12-hour period showed a modest net inflow, totaling $25,430.

A negative net inflow occurs when more capital exits a spot market than enters it within a certain period, often reflecting short-term selling pressure or reduced buying interest.

Net spot outflows for SHIB have persisted across nearly every recent timeframe, most notably in the shorter intervals, suggesting that sellers have gained the upper hand over buyers.

Technical hurdles and support levels

Despite recent selling pressure, SHIB has held above some key technical support levels. The most significant resistance remains the long-term moving average at $0.00000572, a level the token struggled to recapture after a recent rally attempt. In contrast, SHIB continues to trade above its shorter moving averages and hovers at $0.00000532.

Immediate support is clustered around $0.00000497 to $0.00000499, with a further moving average providing a cushion at $0.00000468. If buyers fail to defend the $0.0000050 mark, analysts believe that SHIB could revisit lows near $0.0000047.

Time Period Net Flow ($)
5 min -11,460
15 min -29,970
30 min -89,170
1 hour -49,130
4 hours -75,850
8 hours -50,970
12 hours 25,430

Momentum indicators and near-term outlook

The volatility follows a sharp rise earlier, when SHIB climbed from around $0.0000044 to reach a high near $0.0000062 before sellers intervened. Although the recent breakout structure has lost strength, it has not been entirely invalidated.

On the momentum front, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) briefly entered overbought territory but is now near 58, indicating neutral positioning. This suggests SHIB has ample room to move in either direction, depending on upcoming market dynamics.

For bullish traders, reclaiming $0.0000055 is the immediate objective, with further upside targets at $0.0000057 to $0.0000058 and the previous high of $0.0000062. On the downside, if spot outflows persist and support at $0.0000050 breaks, the price may consolidate or face additional short-term selling pressure.
