CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on miners boost ahead of BoC rate decision
Reuters2026/09/02 13:34Sept 2 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Wednesday, boosted by mining stocks, while investors assessed the impact of elevated bond yields and fresh hostilities in the Middle East, ahead of the Bank of Canada's interest-rate decision.
The S&P/TSX Composite Index .GSPTSE was up 0.5% at 36,017.59 at 09:31 a.m. ET.
