Stocks to Watch Recap: GitLab, Dell, Palo Alto Networks -- WSJ

GitLab (GTLB). Shares of the maker of software-development tools jumped 10% after its second-quarter results topped expectations both on revenue and earnings.
Palo Alto Networks (PANW): The cybersecurity company's stock dropped 9.3% after results released late yesterday showed a quarterly loss. Other cybersecurity stocks such as Okta, Zscaler, Fortinet and CrowdStrike also fell, pushing an ETF tied to the industry 2.4% lower.
Varonis Systems (VRNS): Thoma Bravo-backed Proofpoint is in advanced talks to buy the cybersecurity firm, The Wall Street Journal reported today. Varonis shares rose 10%.
Dell Technologies (DELL): Shares soared 16% after it reported a big earnings and revenue beat thanks to demand for its servers.
BP (U.K.: BP): The U.K. oil major said that its interim chairman Ian Tyler would take on the role permanently, succeeding Albert Manifold, who was removed in May. Shares edged 0.2% higher.
Volvo Car (SE: VOLCAR.B): The Swedish automaker posted lower global car sales in the three months through August compared with the previous quarter. Shares declined 4.4% in Stockholm.
