Publicis Continues to Take Market Share With Pepsi Win -- Market Talk
Dow Jones2026/09/03 13:441344 GMT - Publicis Groupe's PepsiCo account win strengthens the French advertising company's 2027 growth outlook and signals continued market-share gains, Bernstein's Christophe Cherblanc and Annick Maas say in a research note. Market-share wins have fueled organic growth at Publicis over the last couple of years as the ad industry consolidated, the analysts say. "[Publicis'] win comes at the expense of Omnicom, which retains creative, and is likely to indirectly benefit WPP, illustrating a narrower competitive landscape for large-scale budgets since the [Omnicom]-Interpublic merger," the analysts add. The Pepsi account won't contribute to Publicis' top line until the second quarter of 2027, but it adds certainty that market-share wins can continue driving growth, according to Bernstein. Publicis shares jump 4.1%. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
